The Fact About Dogs That Don't shed

There are many dogs that shed their hair through out the year, and some form time to time regard lest of what bread of dog it is. Shedding of hair in dogs is therefore an ordinary occurrence that should not cause any panic. Unless this happens in extreme way it does not warrant any veterinarian attention.

Most pet owners ask me about dogs that don't shed, or which breed of dogs do not shed hair more often. I have a list of dogs that I think on my own observation and experience they shed little or no hair at all. Why many people prefer dogs that do not shed is not a mystery but for the oblivious reasons most people are allergic to these hair and also the hair tends to litter allover the house hence they become nuisance. I have a great list of dogs that do not shed for you here and some ideas on dogs that shed.

Most dogs  shed their fur during seasons like spring. This is just an observation but I have not come a cross any scientific explanation for it. It may  suggest that dogs cannot lose their coating during winter since they need it more that time. I think that make sense to you. If you are not ready to handle a dog that sheds I would ask you to go for a pet that does not shed.

There is a close relationship between dogs that shed, and dog breeds that have curly coats. They tend to shed more than other dogs. These are the kind of dogs that will require more attention when it comes to grooming. They will require you attend to them frequently as far as grooming is concern. Whether a dog shed more than one time a year depend on the hair coat the double hair coated breed of dogs are seen to shed two times in a year.

How can you tell than if your dog is shedding, is when you observe a little clumps of hair that resemble cotton candy diffuse on the entire skin coat. How you can help your dog is by removing them. Pulling them annoys the dog since it is painful! The same way you would not want someone to pull your hair that is tufted! The best approach to this is to use a pair of scissors or a shedding blade that is always available in the pet shop to expose the undercoat.

In conclusion some of the no shedders include: Affenpinscher, Bedlington Terrier, Bichon Frise, Yorkshire Terrier, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, Irish Water Spaniel, Polish Lowland Sheepdog, poodle, Shih Tzu and Portuguese Water Dog.
